Since this is a last minute photo, it’s not the best photo. I also took this photo during the ice storm and figure it would work for the WOW. I should have turned the exposure or brightness up on the photo, but it has been a rough day so I didn’t quite get there yet. I was going to clone stamp the grain bin and power poles out of the picture too. As you can see that also failed to happen.

Trip-Something

These photos were taken during a very intense ice storm. Everywhere you looked there was some ice. Walking around looking for pictures to take was kind of scary. In the woods of a back yard, I have the tree branches would snap and fall. It sounded like a gunshot. Putting the pictures all onto one photo to make three wasn’t too hard. I followed the tutorial a little bit, but then kind of went off on my own and winged it.

Coloring page

I didn’t feel like taking a picture of a person and then coloring them in. I know that skin tone can be kind of a struggle, but I got it figured out for this “little” guy. When i was finished coloring him, I had many different color layers. For each color layer, I did a solid color layer, changed the normal to multiply, and then layer masked the layers. I was easier to fix if I colored outside the lines with the layer masks. Also, I really didn’t like adding shadows. Last year when we did this project I just didn’t add any shadows. For this photo, however, It was easier for me to add shadows because it was a doll and not a real person. It was also nice because I looked back at the original image and mocked the shadows kind of.

So, I didn’t put these photos side by side in photoshop like I was supposed to. But the direct flash is the bottom picture. With the direct flash, the picture looked more yellow and not as clear. With that, I just had the flash on the camera straight on the camera. The bounce flash off the ceiling has a better white balance and a more clear exposure. Both photos look a little blurry, but I couldn’t correct that in Photoshop.  Also, I don’t remember what the flash setting was on. These photos were taken like a week ago when this was due.
